What is a Reg-15 - Premises and Equipment Review?
A CQC premises assessment is a structured review of whether the environment from which you intend to provide regulated activities is safe, suitable, secure, properly maintained and appropriate for its intended purpose.
Regulation 15 requires premises and equipment used by providers to be clean, secure, suitable, properly used, properly maintained and appropriately located. CQC states that it must refuse registration where a provider cannot satisfy it that the regulation will be met.
